General Terms and Conditions of Sale and General Information

Article 1: Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) define the terms for booking and staying at our riad
in Marrakech, which comprises five rooms. Any booking made implies full acceptance of these GTC.

Article 2: Reservations and Payments

2.1 Booking Process

Reservations can be made via our website, by phone, or by email.
A booking is only confirmed once a deposit of 50% of the total stay amount is received.

2.2 Payment Terms

The balance of the stay must be paid upon arrival at the riad.
We accept the following payment methods:

Cash (in dirhams or euros).
Bank transfers.

2.3 Extras and On-Site Payments

Additional costs such as transfers, transport services, lunches, or dinners must be paid exclusively in
cash before check-out.

Article 3: Rates and Taxes

3.1 Pricing

Rates are expressed in euros (EUR) and calculated based on a fixed exchange rate of €1 = 11 dirhams.
Rates include:

Accommodation.
Breakfast.
Access to common areas.

Local taxes are not included. A tourist tax of 25MAD per person, per night, is applicable as per Moroccan regulations.

3.2 Rate Changes

The riad reserves the right to modify rates at any time.
However, confirmed bookings will not be affected by these changes.

Article 4: Cancellations and Modifications

4.1 Cancellations by the Guest

Cancellation 14 days or more before arrival: full refund of the deposit.
Cancellation less than 14 days before arrival or no-show: no refund.

4.2 Cancellations by the Riad

In cases of force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, the riad reserves the right to cancel a reservation.
In such cases, the deposit will be fully refunded.

Article 5: Stay Conditions

5.1 Check-in and Check-out

Rooms are available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Check-out must be completed by 11:00 AM.
For early check-in or late check-out, please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to
accommodate your request.

5.2 House Rules

Guests are expected to respect the property and its facilities. Any damages or losses will be charged.
Smoking is prohibited inside the riad. The rooftop is the only designated smoking area.

5.3 Child Policy

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, children under 12 are not allowed unless the entire riad is booked. In that case, no age restrictions apply.

5.4 Pets

Pets are not permitted.

Article 6 : Riad Exclusive Use

For exclusive use of the riad, the following conditions apply:

Minimum stay: 3 consecutive nights.
Booking confirmation: 50% deposit of the total amount.
Balance payment: 31 days prior to arrival.

Specific Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation 61 days or more before arrival: no penalty.
Cancellation between 60 and 31 days before arrival: 50% of the total amount is retained.
Cancellation less than 31 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount is due.
Exclusive bookings between December 21, 2025, and January 5, 2026, are non-refundable.

Article 7 : Liability

The riad is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, forgotten, or stolen.

Article 8 : Complaints

All complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the departure date.

Article 9 : Governing Law and Disputes

These GTC are governed by Moroccan law. In the event of a dispute, both parties will seek an amicable solution before submitting the case to the competent courts in Marrakech.

Additional Information

City tax: 25 MAD per person, per night, not included.
Exchange rate: €1 = 11 dirhams.

These terms are effective as of January 1, 2025, and apply to all reservations made after this date.
